Step 2: Connect the Micromax device to the computer.

Step 3: Open the device manager on the computer.

Step 4:  Windows 7 & 8 users –  search for the Device Manager from Start and click to open. You will see a list of all devices attached to the PC in the device manager. Find the Micromax device. It will probably in the Other devices list with a yellow exclamation mark. Right-click on it and select Update Driver Software.

Step 5: Select  “Browse my computer for driver software” in the next window.

Step 6: Click the “Browse” button. Select the “general_driver_0.0.12” folder which we extracted in Step 1. Do not select the zip file.  Select the folder that the contents of the zip file extracted. Keep the Include subfolders box checked.

Step 7:  Windows may ask your permission to install the drivers. Click “Install”.

Step 8:  The installation is complete.  You will see a refreshed list of devices on the Device manager screen. It showing your phone’s driver installed successfully. In case the phone still doesn’t connect, try restarting the computer. Or check the troubleshooting tips.
